Hop on-board to 2nd grade!Hello! I want to thank you for visiting my website. I hope you will find it useful. This is my 6th year teaching at Meadowcreek Elementary after graduating from Georgia State University in May 2006 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. My philosophy in teaching is from one of my favorite quotes by Frederick Douglass: If there's no struggle, there's no progress. I believe that everyone in their lifetime goes through struggles, but it is how you overcome them to make yourself a better learner/person. My 4th grade teacher had greatly influenced me to become a teacher. As I was struggling to learn English as my second language, she was always very patient with me no matter how difficult it was. Not only she was my teacher, but she was also a friend, a counselor, a parent, a nurse, a disciplinarian, and a cheerleader. I will try my best to be that person. Education is not just about books, it is about how the students find answers to their own questions through playing, reading, socializing, and investigating.
